Google Powered Student E-Portfolios (7-12 Grades)
Limited Capacity seats available

E-portfolios will not only provide a framework around which a student's learning experiences cohere, but will become a portable e-document they can attach to college applications and work resumes. Participants will explore the benefits of e-portfolios for students (and teachers!) We will learn to navigate Google Sites effectively, build and personalize each page, configure and upload content, and use this resource as a window into student learning that other assessments tools simply do not address.

Humor as a Tech Integrated Assessment Tool
Limited Capacity seats available

Humor, creativity, and innovation are slightly different facets of the same classroom gem, so in this session, you will learn how to transform your student's natural inclination to laugh and make others laugh into a positive classroom assessment tool. High humor comes from analyzing competing frames of reference at complex levels, so we will define positive and negative humor, explore the various views on humor, and analyze the competing frames of reference model of humor. Participants will create humorous tech integrated artifacts (such as Memes, U think I do, he said she heard, among other online tools) that demonstrate the use of humor at high cognitive levels.
